CPAP Power Backup: Keeping Sleep Apnea Therapy Running During an Outage
A CPAP machine draws relatively little power — most units use well under 100W continuous — which makes a small, dedicated battery backup a practical option instead of running a full generator overnight.
Check your CPAP model's power draw (listed on its power supply or manual) against a battery's rated capacity in watt-hours to estimate how many nights of runtime you'll get. Humidifier and heated-tube settings increase draw noticeably.
